A short message from our Master His Excellency İmam İskender Ali Mihr, the (General) President of the Mihr Foundation:
Allâhu Tealâ enabled me to establish the Mihr Foundation in 1989. The Mihr Foundation is a foundation that strives hard in the Way of Allâh and exists for Allâh. This foundation's adherents reaching the Most Beautiful One is taken into consideration within the content of the foundation.
Our fathers say [a Turkish proverb says] literally: "What does a single hand have; two hands have a sound".
We are a many-handed, many voiced community.
THE MIHR FOUNDATION IS A BRIDGE OF TURKEY AND ISLAM OPENED TO THE FUTURE
The Future bears a characteristic such that new events will come into existence all over the world; all the religions will be reunited as a unique religion, under a single roof.
The Purpose of the Foundation and Its Activities:
The Mihr Foundation (Civilization - Insight - Goodness - Exaltedness) was established in 1989 and was announced in the Official Gazette by the General Directorate of the Vakifs.
The headquarters of the Foundation is in Ankara.
The Purposes of the Foundation are as follows: (The document of the foundation: the basic Contract, clause 5)
1. To help the needy.

2. To do research into the subjects of:
a. İslam
b. Modern Technology
c. Nuclear Physics and Chemistry
d. Energy


e. Economics
f. Finance
g. Business studies

3. To do research and cause to do research in:
a. The branches of the Islamic, Technical and Social Sciences that are not mentioned above.
b. To make all kinds of publications both in the native country and in foreign countries for the development of these sciences, to organize conferences and seminars, and to participate in the conferences and seminars that will be organized.


c. To arrange courses, to establish faculties and universities, to participate in the existing universities.
Many serial conferences have been organized both in the native country and in foreign countries within the short period of time that has passed up to this day since its establishment and in the direction of these basic purposes of the Foundation. In 1990-1991 in the USA, 1991 in Azerbaijan, and 1992 in Germany and Belgium, the General President of the Foundation, Respectable İskender Erol Evrenosoðlu, gave lectures on Islam and Sufism. Moreover, each month ongoing conferences have been organized especially in Ankara and Istanbul, Izmir, Aydýn, Denizli since January 1992. The Foundation is in persistent activity in order to make known and to cause (men) to live Islam in the native country and in foreign countries in the same manner our Prophet and his Companions lived it. Islam has now been lived in the Islamic world only as an outward form. As for a group of men: Islam in the first Era of Bliss was lived by them. But they are a very small minority. It is essential to comply with the Qur'ân as a whole, to live and cause (men) to live Islam by penetrating to the "spirit", the gist of the Qur'ân. How the Companions lived Islam, put it into practice in their lives, how they reached "irshad" and in this fashion attained the honor of being "muslim", our experiencing Islam just like them is a definite command of Allâh. To live with the external conditions of the actual Islam is incomplete and is not a manner of understanding and practice according to the decrees of the Qur'ân.

Works (books, magazines, etc…) have been published [in order to make (men) guard against this]. Its works in the area of Sufism (Tasavvuf) are: The Lights of Sufism, Sufism in the light of the Glorious Qur'ân, Happiness-Sufism-Islam and Conversation, The Roots (Origins) of Sufism in the Glorious Qur'ân (Conversation). Its works in the area of Economics are: Medium Term Credits in Turkey, The Financial Problems of the Turkish Industry, Waste of Resources in the Turkish System of Banking, Manpower Relationship between Turkey and Federal Germany, The Solution to the Problem of Inflation in Turkey and the Development, which have all been published. Besides these, the book entitled "Energy-Matter and the Laws of Velocity" has been published. This book has been translated into English, as has the work called Conversation, also.
