Our Master His Excellency Imam Iskender Ali Mihr

He was born on November 29, 1933, in Iznik by a sign of Hz. Esref Rumi. He was the only son and the third child of the family. His family ancestry can be traced to Bozoklu Han. He is Shariff [descendant of Hz Huseyin, son of Hz. Ali (R.A. = May Allâh be pleased with him) (who is a cousin and son-in-law of our Master the Prophet)]. He is married and has two children.

He finished primary and secondary school in Bursa. He graduated from the Department of Banking and Accounting at the Academy of Economy and Commerce (now Marmara University). He received his master's in Economy at Middle East Technical University.

He completed his military service in Korea between 1957-1958. He served as inspector, director, and expert at KIT (Civil Financial Association), Turkish Bank of Vakif and DPT (Planning Organization of the State). He served as inspector in Bandirma and later in Tokat. Our Master His Excellency, who left DPT in 1972, opened an office that conducted feasibility studies. Later on, he was invited to his earlier position at DPT in order to be employed there once again.

During those years, he wrote about the subjects of planning, stimulation and application (of the plans) in economics journals and in the magazine "Ticaretliler." He commented upon the newly published decrees concerning the Encouragement and Application (of the Plans). In 1989, he established the MIHR Foundation, which has studies in the areas of Islam, modern technology, nuclear physics, chemistry, energy, economics, finance, and business, and organizes conferences and seminars in native and foreign countries for the development of these sciences. He is the General President of the Foundation. He is the editorial writer of the monthly magazine MIHR, which has been published since 1992. He is the founder of MIHR TV and MIHR Radio, broadcast now on satellite. Our Master His Excellency completed his doctorate in Religion at Columbia State University in Louisiana, USA in 1997. He founded "The University of Allâh," which is the first and only such university in the universe, on April 1, 2000. He is also the rector of this University.

He is now preparing the interpretation of the Noble Qur'ân in 19 volumes. Each verse of the Noble Qur'ân is rendered word by word in Turkish, and is written in Arabic and Latin alphabets, parallel to the lessons he has been giving at the University.
