El-Fatihâ together with the Blessings

I take refuge with Allâh from Satan the Accursed.
In the Name of Allâh, the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate.

We offer endless thanks and praises to Allâh that we once again have the opportunity of a conversation on Allâh, in the realm of Allâh, in a triangle of happiness, because we speak of Allâh, of the Qur'ân and of the happiness that Allâh and the Qur'ân show us as a goal. Our topic is Ve'l ‘Asr Sura.

Our subject is the second 7 stages of Ve'l ‘Asr Sura, that is, the stages from the 8th stage to the 14th stage: 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14th stages. What happened throughout the first 7 stages? At the 1st stage, we experienced the events. At the 2nd stage, we compared and evaluated the events. Allâhu Tealâ chooses more than 90% of the men. Whoever among them wishes to reach Allâh at the 3rd stage, they are those who attain Salvation (Felâh). If this person wishes to reach Allâh at the 3rd stage, this wish in his (soul's) heart is heard, known and seen in that instant. What results if it is heard, known and seen by Allâhu Tealâ? Allâhu Tealâ begins to manifest Himself over that person with His Name of All-Compassionate (er-Rahîm) at the 4th stage. What is the outcome of this Manifestation? At the end of this manifestation, the hidden barrier (hicâb-ı mestûre, invisible veil), invisible "spectacles" on the eyes of that person preventing him from seeing the post of irshad (murshid), is taken out. He is at the 5th stage. The heaviness (vakrâ) in the ears of that person is taken out. He is at the 6th stage. The coverings (ekinnet) on the (soul's) heart of that person are taken away and "ihbat" (lowliness before Allâh) is put therein in place of "ekinnet." He is at the 7th stage. This occurs within a few minutes. Thanks to the operations executed by Allâhu Tealâ, one part of his sins is blotted out in such a manner that the degrees in his merits will be more than those in his sins. At the end, as a result of these four operations, that person is absolutely the one who will go into Allâh's Paradise. According to the 8, 9 and 10th verses of Mulk Sura, that person will absolutely enter Allâh's Paradise. Allâh says in the 10th verse: "If we had heard the words of the warner who had come to us, that is, if the heaviness (vakrâ) in our ears had been taken out, if we had seen him, that is, if the hidden barrier on our eyes had been taken out, and if we had comprehended his words, that is, if "ekinnet" had been taken away from our (soul's) heart and ihbat had been put therein in place of it, would we now be among the inmates of the Burning Fire?"

There is a hidden barrier (hicâb-ı mestûre) on the eyes of those who will go to Hell. There is a heaviness (vakrâ) in the ears of those who will go to Hell. There are coverings ("ekinnet") on their hearts, and on account of these obstacles, they cannot hear, see and comprehend (the words of their murshids). All the human beings are blind, deaf, and dumb from their births. However, we saw that for whoever wishes to reach Allâh, all His doors that were previously closed to all the men are opened one by one. The person begins to see, whereas he was blind. He begins to hear, whereas he was dumb. He begins to comprehend, whereas he was deprived of understanding.

What happens after this? A way of light will be opened up from the breast of that person to his (soul's) heart. First, Allâhu Tealâ reaches the (soul's) heart of that person for whom the operations we have enumerated have been completed, that is to say, the hidden barrier on his eyes has been taken out, the heaviness (vakrâ) in his ears has been taken out, the coverings ("ekinnet") on his (soul's) heart has been taken away, and ihbat (lowliness before Allâh) has been put therein in place of "ekinnet," and so he has begun to comprehend (the words of his murshid). Allâhu Tealâ says in the 11th verse of Tegâbun Sura:

TEGABUN 11: No kind of calamity can occur, except by the permission of Allah. Allah reaches the heart of him who is AMENU (those who wish to reach Allah in this life). Allah knows all things.

"...ve men yu'min billâhi yehdi kalbeh(u)".
"And whoever becomes amenû to Allâh (a believer in Allâh), He reaches his (soul's) heart (He puts guidance into his heart)."

Why does Allâhu Tealâ reach our (soul's) heart? We find (see) the answer in the 33rd verse of Kâf Sura. Allâhu Tealâ decrees so therein:
50 / QAF 33: They are those who feel HUSHU (reverence) in the unseen to the Most Gracious, and come (to the presence of Allah) with a heart turned in devotion (to Allah).
"Men haşiyerrahmâne bi'l gaybi ve câ'e bi kalbin munîb(i)."
"Who has awe of the All-Merciful (Allâh) in the Unseen and comes with a (soul's) heart turned (to Allâh). We speak of having a feeling of awe towards the All-Merciful (Allâh) in the Unseen (without seeing him yet), of the human beings shuddering with awe (hushu')."

Allâhu Tealâ says in the 22nd verse of Zumer Sura:
39 / AZ - ZUMER 22: Is one whose breast Allah has opened to Islam, and so he receives light from Allah (into his heart) the same as one whose heart has been hardened and darkened? Woe to them whose hearts are hardened and darkened because of the lack of DHIKR (remembering and repeating the name of Allah). They are in obvious DALALET (Misguidance)!
"Efe men şerehallâhu sadrehu li'l islâmi fe huve ‘alâ nûrin min rabbih(i)..."
"What! Is he whose (soul's) heart Allâh has opened (slit) for Islâm (Surrenders) so that he is in (upon) a light from his Lord [like the hard (dark, sick) hearted]?"

Allâh's light can reach only the (souls') hearts of those whose breasts are slit, and thus a way (of light) has been opened up from there to their (souls') hearts. As for the 23rd verse of Zumer Sura, Allâhu Tealâ decrees so therein:
39 / AZ - ZUMER 23: Allah sends down the most beautiful (among His lights) ones in two pairs (mercy-virtue and mercy-blessing) in the sense of the Book. With those (lights), the skins of people tremble, and then they have HUSHU (reverence) to their Lord. And then, they (the lights), with the DHIKR of Allah (remembering and repeating the name of Allah), soften one's skin and his heart (soul's (ego) heart). This is HIDAYET (The True Guidance Leading To Allah) of Allah. Allah takes (by purifying his soul (ego) with His lights and so making him reach Himself) whom He pleases to HIDAYET (The True Guidance Leading To Allah); and for whom Allah leaves in DALALET (Misguidance), there is no one who can take him to HIDAYET (The True Guidance Leading To Allah).
"Allâhu nezzele ahsenel hadîsi kitâben muteşâbihen mesâniye..."
"Allâh has sent down the Best (the most Beautiful) Statement (the Best Lights He produces) similar to a Book (to the Qur'ân and its contents) in pairs: Mercy-Virtue, Mercy-Blessings."

"takşaırru minhu culûdullezîne yahşevne rabbehum"
"The skins of those who have awe of their Lord shiver from it (these lights)."

"Summe telînu culûduhum ve kulûbuhum ilâ zikrillâh(i)"
"Then their skins and their hearts soften to (with) the remembrance (zikir) of Allâh."

 "Zâlike hudallâhi"
"That is the Guidance of Allâh."

"yehdî bihî men yeşa'(u)"
"He makes reach therewith whom He wills."

"ve men yudlilillâhu fe mâ lehu min hâd(in)"
"And whomever He leaves in Misguidance, for him there is no Guide (hidâyetchi, the one who makes his spirit reach Allâh)."

Allâhu Tealâ says that the two lights of Allâh, named "mercy" and "virtue," come into the (souls') hearts of those persons and that they reach guidance thanks to those lights. When the soul's heart is purified at the rate of 51%, the person reaches guidance, and when the spirit reaches Allâh, the person also reaches guidance. The guidance of the spirit is realized at the 21st stage. The spirit reaches Allâh.

Now we are at the beginning of our subject. From the eyes of whom Allâh has taken out the hidden barrier (hicâb-ı mestûre), from the ears of whom He has taken out the heaviness (vakrâ), from the (soul's) heart of whom He has taken away the coverings (ekinnet) and put "ihbat" (lowliness before Allâh) therein in place of "ekinnet," He reaches the (soul's) heart of that person and turns his heart to Himself. Here is the 9th stage. What is there at the 10th stage? At the 10th stage, Allâh opens up (slits) a light way from the breast of that person to his heart. Now let us remember the 22nd verse of Zumer Sura: "Allâh's light can reach only the heart of the person whose breast Allâh has slit and opened up a (light) way from his breast to his heart. Allâh asks: Are the hearts of these persons and those of the others equal? When we consider the content in such a design, we see this: Allâhu Tealâ slits the breast of that person and opens up a light way from his breast to his heart. Here is the 125th verse of En'âm Sura:

6 / AL AN'ÂM 125: Those whom Allah (in His plan) wills to guide [HIDAYET (the true guidance leading to Allah)], He opens their breast to Islam; those whom He wills to leave astray (in Dalalet), He makes their breast closed and constricted, as if they had to rise up to the skies. Thus Allah does (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to be Mumin (those among the believers of Allah who wish to reach Him).

"Fe men yuridillâhu en yehdiyehu yeşrah sadrehu li'l İslâm(i)"
"And whomsoever Allâh wills to make reach guidance (that is, whose spirit He wills to make reach Himself), He slits his breast to İslâm (Surrenders); that is, He opens up a light way from his breast to his heart."

Why "li'l islâmi?" For İslâm, in order that He should surrender them to Himself, He makes them muslim (İslâm), that they should become servants surrendered to Allâh. He slits it so that they may become muslim (İslâm), that they may surrender their spirits, physical bodies, souls and free wills to Allâh. Now Allâhu Tealâ opens up a light way from the breast of the person to his heart. Why? Allâhu Tealâ was saying the reason for it in the 22nd verse of Zumer Sura. Allâh's lights can reach only the (souls') hearts of the persons whose breasts Allâhu Tealâ slits in order to open up a light way from their breasts to their hearts. Thus, there is a (soul's) heart into which Allâh's lights come. Allâh's lights, mercy and virtue, will reach that heart. Allâhu Tealâ says in the above-mentioned 23rd verse of Zumer Sura that those lights will come therein in pairs: mercy-virtue and mercy-blessings. Now at this level, Allâhu Tealâ opens up a light way from the breast of that person to his heart according to the 125th verse of En'âm Sura. We look at this light way that Allâh has opened up. When does Allah open this way for us? When a person does zikir (when a person repeats the Name of Allâh, as Al-lâh, Al-lâh, Al-lâh...), do the lights of mercy and virtue come from the Presence of Allâh to the breast of that person? If that person has wished to reach Allâh, they come therein. Why? Because Allâhu Tealâ manifests Himself with His Name of All-Compassionate only over those who wish to reach Allâh. Allâh's lights can function only in the bodies over which the Name of Allâh All-Compassionate manifests itself. Otherwise, they cannot have it. Because of the manifestation of the Name of All-compassionate, the hidden barrier on the eyes, the heaviness in the ears, and the coverings (ekinnet) on the (souls') hearts were taken away. The light door of the heart has turned to Allâhu Tealâ. "İhbat" was put into the (soul's) heart in place of "ekinnet." Allâh opened the light way from the breast of that person to his heart. What happens if the person does zikir after the light way has been opened up? The two lights named "mercy" and "virtue" that come from (the Presence of) Allâh reach the breast of that person. If that person were to do zikir before wishing to reach Allâh, what would happen? Nothing at all would happen. If he did not do zikir, neither Mercy nor Virtue would come to the breast of that person from (the Presence of) Allâh, because there is not the manifestation of the Name of All-Compassionate over that person. Unless that person wishes to reach Allâh, the Name of All-Compassionate does not manifest itself over him. If he does not, the mercy and virtue of Allâh do not come to the breast of that person when he does zikir. Now the situation has changed. Allâhu Tealâ has made some changes in this person. He has opened the doors closed to Him. His eyes were closed, blind. Henceforth, he sees. His ears were deaf; he hears now. His (soul's) heart was deprived of comprehension; he understands now. The light door of his (soul's) heart has now turned to Allâh, and a light way has been opened up from his breast to his heart. It is at this point that a pair of lights, named "mercy" and "virtue," comes from (the Presence of) Allâh to the breast of that person. As the Name of All-Compassionate manifests itself now over him, when he does zikir the mercy and virtue will absolutely come down on the breast of that person. Allâh's lights named "mercy" and "virtue" arrive at the (soul's) heart of that person passing through the electronic door designed in accordance with the lights of Mercy and Virtue, through that way opened with the breast being slit. There they encounter a surprise because that (soul's) heart is still sealed. What is worse, the word Unbelief is still written therein. So when this person does zikir, two lights, mercy and virtue, come to the breast of that person and from his breast to his (soul's) heart. But the door of the heart is sealed. Neither mercy nor virtue can enter it through that sealed door. But the light of mercy can leak therein. Now when the light of mercy begins to leak into the (soul's) heart bit by bit through Allâh's zikir, whereas the light of virtue cannot enter and leak therein in any way, the person has attained the 11th stage. He has done zikir, and mercy has begun to leak into his soul's heart. Here we see that the mercy and virtue enter it through the slit part of the breast. What was Allâhu Tealâ saying in the 125th verse of En'âm Sura? Let us repeat it once again:

6 / AL AN'ÂM 125: Those whom Allah (in His plan) wills to guide [HIDAYET (the true guidance leading to Allah)], He opens their breast to Islam; those whom He wills to leave astray (in Dalalet), He makes their breast closed and constricted, as if they had to rise up to the skies. Thus Allah does (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to be Mumin (those among the believers of Allah who wish to reach Him).

"Fe men yuridillâhu en yehdiyehu yeşrah sadrehu lil İslâm(i)"
"And whomsoever Allâh wills to make reach Himself (whose spirit He wills to make reach Himself), He slits the breast of that person."

He opens up a light way from his breast to his heart. Why? For İslâm, in order that the person becomes a Muslim (İslâm) in the real sense of the word by surrendering his spirit, his physical body, his soul and his free will to Allâh. İslâm means Surrender. The Qur'ân comprises the four surrenders, the surrenders of the spirit, the physical body, the soul and the free will. Allâh opens up a light way so that these surrenders can be realized by the slitting of the breast. What happens then? Allâhu Tealâ's mercy begins to leak into the (soul's) heart. Here is the 11th stage. When this leakage amounts to 2%, then that person's heart reaches hushu' (a feeling of awe, reverence). Allâh decrees so in the 16th verse of Hadîd Sura:

57 / AL-HADID 16: Has not the Time arrived for the hearts of AMENU (who wish to reach Allah in this life) to engage in HUSHU (reverence) by the thing (light) that came down through the dhikr of Allah? Let them not be like those who received the Book, and long ages passed over them (as they did not practice dhikr during that time) and their hearts hardened (whose hearts became dark and hard and ill because of the lack of dhikr). Many among them are rebellious (the ones who went astray after having attained HIDAYET (the True Guidance Leading To Allah).

"e lem ye'ni lillezîne âmenû en tahşe'a kulûbuhum lizikrillâhi ve mâ nezele mine'l hakkı..."
"Has it not come for those who are âmenû (who have wished to reach Allâh spiritually before death) that their (souls') hearts have awe for (with) Allâh's zikir and that which (the light) has sent down from the Truth (Hakk, Allâh)?"

Mercy cannot fill that person's heart more than 2%. Why can't it fill the heart more? Because if mercy fills it more than this amount, the repulsive force of the word Disbelief in the soul's heart repels the mercy from the sphere where it is dominant. When 2% of mercy has accumulated in the (soul's) heart of that person, then he has reached hushu' (a feeling of awe, reverence). What happens if he has reached hushu'? Then he has a right to seek his murshid from Allâh. Allâh too has a promise. He absolutely causes that person to reach his murshid.

Let us look together at the Fâtihâ Sura. What was Allâhu Tealâ saying in Fâtihâ Sura (Opening Chapter)? To be more exact, what have we been saying with that Fâtihâ Sura that we recite 40 times in a day and with which we supplicate and entreat Allâh? We say:

"Eûzübillehimineşşeytânirracîm. Bismillahirrahmanirrahîm"
"I seek refuge with Allâh from Satan the Rejected (Accursed). In the Name of Allâh, the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate."

The Name of All-Merciful (Rahmân) is for everybody, whereas the Name of All-Compassionate is only for those who have been âmenû. Those other than the âmenû cannot benefit from the Name of All-Compassionate (Rahîm).

"Elhamdu lillâhi rabbil âlemîn(e)."
"All praise be to Allâh, Lord (Sustainer) of All the Worlds."

"Errahmânirrahîm(i)."
"The All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate."

"Mâliki yevmiddîn(e)"
"Master of the Day of the Religion."

 "İyyâke na'budu"
"Only You do we serve (worship)."

"ve iyyâke nestaîn(nestaînu)."
"From You Alone do we seek (special) Help."

What do we mean by saying: "Only You do we serve (We become servants to You Alone)?" Allâhu Tealâ says in the 56th verse of Zâriyât Sura:
51 / AZ - ZÂRIYÂT 56: We have created human beings and Jinns just so that they may be servants to Us.
"Ve mâ halaktu'l cinne ve'l inse illâ liya'budûn(i)."
"And I did not create the jinn and the men (mankind) except that they should serve Me (Alone) (they should be servants to Me)."

That is to say, let them surrender their spirits to Us so that their spirits can be servants to Us. Let them surrender their physical bodies to Us so that their physical bodies can be servants to Us. Let them surrender their souls to Us so that their souls can be servants to Us. Let them surrender their free wills to Us so that their free wills too can be servants to Us. We have created human beings for this purpose, not for any other thing. Here also Allâhu Tealâ says, to be more exact, we say to Him:

"İyyâke na'budu"
"Only You do we serve."

Fâtiha Sura is our entreaty supplication, our prayer to Allâh. It is conformable to the entire essence (spirit) of the Qur'ân. We recite Fâtiha 40 times in a day at the least, if we perform five timed prayers every day, including the sunnas (the Practices of the Prophet). Our community recites it much more than this, because every day we perform the prayers for the past two days to get out of debt. We absolutely perform every day a prayer for praise and thanks (4 rak'ats; rak'at: complete act of worship with the prescribed postures).

What has happened? Allâh's lights have begun to enter the person's heart. These lights have attained 2%. The person has been possessed of "hushu'" (awe, reverence). Now we consider the content of the one who has had hushu'; we have said:

"İyyâke na'budu"
"You Alone do we serve" (To You Alone are we servants).
"ve iyyâke nestaîn(u)"
"From You Alone do we seek (special) Help."

That is, from You Alone do we want to learn who is our murshid. İstiane (special help) is the Help of Allâh concerning Allâh's making known to us who is our murshid (who will make our spirit reach Allâh). Allâhu Tealâ declares:

16 / AN-NAHL 9: And unto Allah lead straight the ways. And there are ways that turn aside. If Allah had willed, He could have guided all of you to HIDAYET (the true guidance leading to Allah).

"Ve ‘alallâhi kasdus sebîl(i)"
"And upon Allâh is the responsibility to determine the Way."

That is, the initial way that will be the means to make men reach Allâh and that constitutes the first part of the Straight Path. If our spirit quits our physical body and reaches this Way, that is the murshid, what happens then? If our spirit enters it, at the moment we reach our murshid, the spirit of the Imâm of the Era comes immediately over our head. He is a Blessing for us. Fâtihâ Sura continues thereafter as follows and makes known to us why we seek the special help (istiâne) from Allâh:

"İhdinas sırâta'l mustakîm(e)."
"(O our Lord!) Make us reach the Straight Path (with this special help of You)."

  Here the riddle is unraveled:

"Sırâtallezîne en'amte ‘aleyhim"
"The Path of those over (the heads of) whom You have bestowed Your Bounty."

Whosoever may be and whenever he may be, if he can attain his murshid with 10 favors (ihsan) by passing through this process, the spirit of the Imâm of the Era trained in the Presence of Allâh comes immediately over his head and settles there. This is a Blessing for him. Allâhu Tealâ speaks of a Blessing. The spirit of the Imâm of the Era comes over the head of the person, and the Straight Path (Sırât-ı Mustakîm) is only the Path of those who carry the spirit of the Imam of the Era over their heads as a Blessing. Only their spirits can attain the Straight Path.

"Gayri'l magdûbi ‘aleyhim ve laddâllîn(e)."
"Not (the Path of) those upon whom Your Wrath is brought down (the Unbelievers), nor of those who go astray (who are in Misguidance, who could not reach their murshids)."

We are speaking of content concerning the Presence of Allâh. Pay close attention to the fact. In such a design, the person is given a right to seek the special help (istiâne) from Allâh. We say to Allâhu Tealâ: "From You Alone do we seek the special help (Iyyâke nestaîn). Make us reach the Straight Path with this special Help of You, that Straight Path that is the Path of those over (the heads of) whom the spirit of the Imâm of the Era is found as a Blessing. The determination of the ways that lead (men) to Allâh is incumbent on Him. Everyone enters this Way at the dervish convent to which he has adhered. The first way (sebîl) includes the distance from there to the Main Dervish Convent of the Imâm of the Era. Allâhu Tealâ shows us how we will seek the special help from Him in the 45 and 46th verses of Bakara Sura:
2 / BAQARAH 45: Seek ((Allah)'s) help with patient perseverance and prayer. It (asking Allah through the Requirement Prayer about the Religious Guide who takes one to Allah) is indeed hard, except to those who have HUSHU (reverence).
2 / BAQARAH 46: They (who have HUSHU (reverence)) are those who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord (in this world), and that they are to return (finally after death) to Him. (They believe as in the level of YAKEEN (certainty.)

"Vesteînû bissabri vessalât(i). Ve innehâ le kebîratun illâ ‘ale'l hâşiîn(e)."
"And seek the (special) assistance (from Allâh) through Patience and Prayer (the requirement Prayer), and most surely it is a very hard thing except for the humble ones (the ones who possess a feeling of awe)."

"Ellezîne yezunnûne ennehum mulâku rabbihim ve ennehum ileyhi râci'ûn(e)."
"Who are certain that they shall most surely meet (reach) their Lord (in this life of the present world) and that they shall most certainly return to Him (after death)."

The verse proclaims that the spirit has two sorts of returns (to Allâh).

  1. The first is Allâhu Tealâ's making our spirit reach Him while we are living.
  2. The second is this: that our spirit comes back again and settles over our head immediately after our death. The angels charged with our death carry our spirit back to Allâh.

In the first, we send our spirit to Allâh with our own free will. We believe with utter certainty that this will be so. If so, who are those men who are possessed of this feeling of awe and reverence (hushu')?

  1. They believe in Allâh.
  2. They have wished to reach Allâh; they believe that man's spirit will certainly reach Allâh before death.
  3. They believe that this is an obligation (farz) upon them.
  4. They believe that Allâh will absolutely make their spirits reach Himself.

Those owners of "hushu'" seek special help (istiâne) from Allâh through Patience and the (requirement) prayer, and this is not hard for those who are possessed of awe (reverence, hushu'), and Allâh absolutely shows them their murshids when they perform the requirement prayer. There, at the 14th stage, they reach their murshids, kneel down in front of them, and make their repentance. At the 14th stage, where the second 7 stages have been completed, Allâh has completed his 10 favors too.

His 1st Favor: He manifests Himself over us with His Name of All-compassionate.
His 2nd Favor: He takes out the hidden barrier (hicâb-ı mestûre) on our eyes.
His 3rd Favor: He takes out the heaviness (vakrâ) in our ears.
His 4th Favor: He takes away the coverings (ekinnet) on our (soul's) heart.
His 5th Favor: He puts "ihbat" (lowliness before Allâh) into our (soul's) heart.
His 6th Favor: He reaches our (soul's) heart (He puts guidance into our heart).
His 7th Favor: He turns the door of our (soul's) heart to Himself.
His 8th Favor: He opens up a light way from our breast to our (soul's) heart.
His 9th Favor: He causes us to reach hushu' (awe, reverence).
His 10th Favor: He shows us our murshid, and thus demonstrates his Pleasure (Consent) to us by showing us our murshid.

We reach our murshid by means of 10 favors. Take heed: Allâhu Tealâ speaks of the Companions (sahâbe) in the 100th verse of Tevbe Sura:

9 / AT - TAUBAH 100: It was the vanguard of Islam, SABIQUN-AL AWWALEEN (the ones in the first three ranks of those who were always ready to give and help for the cause of good deeds: ULUL ELBAB (to whom the secrets of Allah were revealed), IKHLAS (who have also submitted their souls (ego) to Allah), SALAH (who have attained the very last stage through their submissions)) some of whom were MUHAJIRs (who migrated from Mecca to Medina), some of whom were ANSARs (the helpers in Medina), and some of whom were those who depended on (followed) them (MUHAJIRs and ANSARs) (since SAHABA (disciples of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)) were of the IRSHAD POST (True Guidance, they were depended on (followed)).  Allah is well pleased with them, as they are with Him. Allah has prepared for them the Gardens under which rivers flow, and they will dwell therein forever. That is the greatest reward.

"Vessâbikûne'l evvelûne mine'l muhâcirîne ve'l ensâri vellezînettebe'ûhum bi ihsân(in)..."
"As for the former competitors (who occupied the most superior stations of "Ûlû'l elbâb," "İhlâs" and "Salâh"), some of them were the Immigrants (Muhacirîn) (those who migrated from Mecca to Medina), some of them were the Helpers (Ensârs, the citizens of Medina who helped and gave aid to the Immigrants) and also those who depended on them with favors (ihsân)."

The dependent ones who had depended on the Companions had depended on them with favors; that is, they had obtained all 10 favors. Whichever of the Companions Allâhu Tealâ had shown them, they had reached that Companion and depended on him. Each one had depended on another one. Those who had depended have been named the dependent ones (tâbiîn). The ones on whom the dependent ones had depended with favors have been named the Companions, consisting of the Immigrants (Muhâcirîn) and the Helpers (Ensâr). The dependence with favors is the end of 10 favors; 10 favors have been completed. The person has realized his dependence upon the murshid by attaining him whom Allâhu Tealâ has shown him. As soon as the dependence has been realized, the spirit of the Imâm of the Era comes and settles over the head of that person. Allâhu Tealâ speaks of this in the 15th verse of Mu'min Sura:
40 / MUMIN 15: Allah Who raises the ranks (degrees) and Who is the owner of the Throne sends a spirit (that will convey the command of Allah) by His Command onto any of His servants (the heads of His servants) He pleases (since he wishes to reach Allah, Allah also wishes to make him reach Himself) in order to warn (the spirit of that servant) of the Day to reach Allah.
"Refî'udderecâti zu'l ‘arş, yulkîrrûha min emrihî ‘alâ men yeşâ'u min ‘ıbâdihî liyunzire yevmettelâk."
"The One who increases the Degrees, the Possessor of the (Divine) Throne, makes the Spirit (of the İmâm of the Era) reach by His Command over whom He wills of His servants that he may warn (that person's spirit) of the Day of meeting (reaching) (with Allâh)."

The one who is made to come is the spirit of the Imâm of the Era. Allâhu Tealâ says so in the 24th verse of Secde Sura:

32 / AS - SAJDAH 24: And We appointed, from among them, IMAMs (murshid: the religious guide leading to Allah), taking them to HIDAYET (the True Guidance Leading To Allah) under Our command, since they persevered with patience and got close to Our Verses (the Verses of Allah).

"Ve ce'alnâ minhum e'immeten yehdûne bi emrinâ"
"And We made from among them Imâms (Leaders) who cause (men) to reach guidance by Our Command."

Pay attention! He says, "by Our Command." The spirit of the Imâm (Prayer-Leader) of the Era comes over our head to communicate to us the Command he has received from Allâh. He says: "I am conveying this to you following the Command that I received from Him. Quit the physical body! Turn back to Allâh! Your time to return to Allâh has come: I communicate this to you by Allâh's Command" (40/Mu'min-15). Upon this Command, our spirit leaves our physical body. The spirit of the Imâm of the Era, which will be able to fulfill this duty at a much more superior level than our own spirit, comes and settles horizontally over our head. Here is the 22nd verse of Mucadele Sura. Allâhu Tealâ decrees there:
58 / AL-MUJADILAH 22: You will not find any people who have faith in Allah and the Last Day (before they die) loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. Faith is written in their hearts and supports them with a (trained) spirit (the settlement of the spirit of the Imam of the Age over the their heads) from Himself, and they will be put in Gardens beneath which Rivers flow; they will dwell therein forever. Allah is well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party (supporters) of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve salvation (Prosperity).
"ulâike ketebe fî kulûbihimu'l îmâne ve eyyedehum bi rûhin minh(u)."
"For such He has written Faith in their (souls') hearts and strengthened them with a Spirit from Himself."

Over (the head of) whom the spirit of the Imâm of the Era comes (1st Blessing), Allâhu Tealâ opens the seal of the (soul's) heart of that person (2nd Blessing). He takes the word Unbelief out of the (soul's) heart of that person (3rd Blessing). He writes the word Faith (Belief) into his (soul's) heart (4th Blessing). The person has received 4 blessings up to now after 10 favors already received. This was realized within a few minutes. What has happened? A ceremony of repentance, where the angels bearing the (Divine) Throne (‘Arş) and the personage who is found around it, has been realized. These men depend (on their murshids) in front of 7 witnesses by receiving 10 favors. What is the 5th Blessing of Allâhu Tealâ? It is to transform the sins (evil deeds) of that person into merits (good deeds). Allâhu Tealâ says so in the 69, 70 and 71st verses of Furkan Sura:
25 / AL-FURQÂN 69: The torture on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,
25 / AL-FURQÂN 70: Except those who repent (before a Murshid, the religious Guide), and become MUMIN (those among the believers of Allah who wish to reach Him) (since he has repented before a Murshid and faith has been written in his heart), and do improving righteous deeds (with the same reasons), for those Allah will change their sins into merits. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
25 / AL-FURQÂN 71: And whoever repents and does improving deeds (the purification of the soul (ego)) has truly turned to Allah (before he dies) with acceptable repentance.
"Yudâ'af lehu'l ‘azâbu yevmel kıyâmeti ve yahlud fîhî muhânâ (muhânen). İllâ men tâbe ve âmene ve ‘amile ‘amelen sâlihan fe ulâike yubeddilullâhu seyyiâtihim hasenât (hasenâtin), ve kânallâhu gafûren rahîmâ (rahîmen). Ve men tâbe ve ‘amile sâlihan fe innehu yetûbu ilâllâhi metâbâ (metâben)."
"The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace. Except those who repent (in front of the murshid) and (as Belief has been written into their souls' hearts because of their repenting before them) become believers and (for the same reason) do improving deeds: for those, Allâh will change their sins (evil deeds) into merits (good deeds), and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Compassionate. And whosoever repents and does improving deeds (the soul's purification), then verily he reaches Allâh as the one whose repentance has been accepted."

His 6th Blessing is the spirit's setting out on a journey towards Allâh by leaving his physical body. Here are the 38 and 39th verses of Nebe' Sura that describe the ceremony of repentance before Allâh and the spirit's leaving his physical body in order to set out on a journey towards Him.
78 / AN-NABA '38: The angels (which uphold the Throne) in ranks and the spirit (of the Imam of the Age) will be there. No one can speak except those (the religious guide and the one who depends on him) who are permitted by Most Gracious. And they say what is right.
78 / AN-NABA '39: That Day (the day the pledge is taken by kissing the hand of the MURSHID (the religious guide)) is the Day of Allah. Those who wish (to reach Allah) take the path leading to Allah (the Straight Path to Allah). (Allah) will be a shelter (for the one who wishes to reach Allah).
"Yevme yekûmur rûhu vel melâiketu saffâ (saffen), lâ yetekellemûne illâ men ezine lehur rahmânu ve kâle sevâbâ (sevâben). Zâlikel yevmul hakk (hakku), fe men şâettehaze ilâ rabbihî meâbâ (meâben)"
"The Day that the Spirit (of the Imâm of the Era) and the angels stand forth in rows, they do not speak except him whom the All-Merciful (Allâh) allows, and he speaks what is right. This is the Day of Truth [the Day when one kisses the hand of one's murshid and depends on him in order to reach the Truth (Hakk, Allâh)]. The person who wishes (to reach Allâh) takes a Path (the Straight Path) (leading) to his Lord. (Allâh becomes then) a Shelter (for the person who has reached Him)."

The spirit comes on the Straight Path by quitting his physical body. This is the first way (sebîl). All the spirits come from the dervish convents, where their murshids are to be found, to the Main Dervish Convent, where the Imâm of the Era is found by making a journey on the ways parallel to the surface of the globe of the earth. In whatever place of the earth the disciple may be found, in whatever place of the earth the Imam of the Era may be found, all the disciples attain the Main Dervish Convent where the Imâm of the Era and the Golden Gate are to be found. This is the completion of the first way (sebîl). The spirit has left his physical body and has taken the way going to Allâh, a way for him in accordance with the order he has taken from the Imâm of the Era. This process occurs after all the sins of that person have been changed into merits. What does the soul become thereafter? The soul begins to be purified. The good deeds mentioned in the 70th verse of Furkan Sura begin at that time. After the dependence (on the murshid), the good deeds, or the soul's purification, begin. The person does zikir. Upon this zikir (remembrance), the lights of mercy-virtue and mercy-blessings coming from (the Presence of) Allâh descend on the breast of the person and attain his (soul's) heart by passing through the light way opened up by Allâh. These lights, reaching the (soul's) heart of the person, push the seal as far as the door of darkness by putting pressure on the light door of the soul that has now become mobile. The seal covers up the door of darkness. Both doors are of the same size, and the door of darkness always remains closed, as the pressure of the lights of mercy, virtue and blessings will continue as long as zikir is continuous. As the door of darkness will always remain closed, the darknesses of Satan will never be able to enter the (soul's) heart. As for the darknesses in the (soul's) heart: they all are thrown out with the entering of the mercy, virtue and blessings therein. What occurs in the (soul's) heart? The word Faith has been written therein; it has a magnetic field and attracts virtues to itself. The virtues are Allâh's light. An accumulation of virtues begins around the word Faith. They will increase gradually as 1%, 2%... This is called the soul's purification. Parallel to the soul's purification, the spirit will set out on a journey towards Allâh. Both the guidance of the soul and that of the spirit have begun. Both of them are on their respective Straight Paths. They are on the separate Straight Paths. There is also something that is on the Straight Path: our physical body. Why is it on the Straight Path? However many virtues accumulate in our soul's heart, the influence of Satan on these virtues is not possible to that degree. Satan can influence only the vices of our soul, but not anything else.

In that case, look at the nature of Satan: He can influence the vices of our soul ('s heart), but he is unable to influence the virtues. If so, as long as the virtues increase in our soul's heart, the sphere of the domination of Satan will decrease to that extent. Now for this reason, to the extent and at the rate that there is a decrease of vices in our soul's heart, the domination of Satan over our physical body decreases to that extent. Why? Because Satan can influence the vices of our soul, but he cannot influence the virtues. The virtues have a property to fulfill all the commands of Allâh and not to commit any act forbidden by Him. The vices of the soul, on the contrary, are the elements that rebel against all the Commands of Allâh and commit all his prohibitions. In which case, as the vices of our soul diminish, our physical body's being a servant to Allâh, its beginning to be saved from being a servant of Satan and being a servant to Allâh, continues at the same rate. In an accumulation of 7% light, 7% of the vices decrease in our soul's heart. The domination of Satan has decreased at the rate of 7% therein. For this reason, our physical body has been saved from being a servant of Satan at the rate of 7% and has become a servant to Allâh. It is in this way that the soul's purification begins. This is the 7th Blessing of Allâh. The 8th Blessing is our physical body's beginning to be saved from being a servant of Satan, and it begins to become a servant to Allâh. The 9th Blessing is our free will's beginning to be strengthened. As the vices of our soul that oppose our free will are annihilated, it continuously gets strong. His 10th Blessing: While the degrees (of merit) that Allâh has been granting us up to that day were 10 to 1 (merit), from that day on He begins to grants us 100 to 1 according to the 261st verse of Bakara Sura. This will rise thereafter up to 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 700 fold. As long as our spirit makes a journey through the 7 heavenly floors (layers) towards Allâh, the vices of our soul will decrease gradually. The virtues that are identical with the good qualities (haslet) of our spirit will come and settle into our soul's heart.

These events are completed at the end of the second 7stages. Let us now consider together Ve'l ‘Asr Sura:

103 / AL - 'ASR 1:  I swear by Time (through the ages),
103 / AL - 'ASR 2: Verily Man is in loss,
103 / AL - 'ASR 3: Except those AMENU (those who wish to reach Allah in this life) (who have completed the first seven steps), and those who practice AMILUSSALIHAT (purification of the soul (ego)) (who have completed the second seven steps), and those who recommend Allah (who have had their spirits reach Allah) (who have completed the third seven steps), and those who recommend Patience (those who have completed the fourth seven steps).
 "Vel asr(i)."
"I swear by the Time."

"İnnel insâne le fî husr(in)."
"Verily, man is in (utter) loss."

"İllellezîne âmenû"
"Except those who are âmenû (those who have wished to reach Allâh spiritually before death)."

"ve amilûs sâlihâti"
"And those who do improving deeds (who do deeds that improve (purify) the soul ('s heart)."

It is here that the second 7 stages of Ve'l ‘Asr Sura are completed. One more beauty is being completed here. I am living the happiness of having exceptional discourse with you, of explaining the second 7 stages of Ve'l ‘Asr Sura to you. To be with you is a great pleasure for me! Endless praise and thanks be to Allâh because Allâhu Tealâ has caused me to taste this delight. We wish to complete our words here, God willing, with our prayers that Allâhu Tealâ may make you attain both the Bliss of Paradise and the world's happiness.

El-Fatihâ together with the Blessings.
Peace be upon you and His Mercy and His Blessings.
